A Look Into the Future of ElectionBuddy

For the past couple of weeks, I have done a year-end review of all the features we’ve implemented since last summer, as well features you maybe not have been aware about. I realize it’s still August, but I explain why a recap was done now rather than December/January. Part 1 and Part 2 can viewed here and here.

But before I invite you to help us develop and introduce new feature, I would first like to thank you for a great year. We’ve had so much fun at watching your elections take place. We passed 1000 elections in April. We’ve seen ElectionBuddy used for all different types of organizations, including a number of non-profits and prestigious schools  And just last month we ran our biggest ever election! So from all of us at EventIQ… Thank You for the great year!!!

Right, now on to the good stuff!

As always, we value your feedback. It’s how we can improve our services, and develop a community of election organizers, and introduce new features.

What would you like to see in the near future? Are there any features that you think we can introduce to aid in your elections?

Leave us a comment below or drop us a line on Facebook or Twitter. Whoever comes up with the next great feature that we should develop, will get a very nice prize!

One feature I would like to see in ElectionBuddy is a non-eliminatable “None of the Above” option for preferential voting. The idea is that on a ballot with a “None of the Above” option in preferential voting, you want that option to continue to exist through all rounds. So if on any round “None of the Above” has the fewest votes, the next fewest vote candidate would be eliminated instead. That way one always has an option to reject the remaining candidates.
