Lifting our caps off to those capping off high school

As a great poet once said, “school’s out for summer, school’s out forever!” But ask anyone who has ever finished high school and they’ll tell you how graduation’s just the beginning. School’s not out forever, in fact the school of life has just rang it’s morning bell.

So it comes with great pleasure for us to witness this year’s graduates embarking on that very journey, from those precious initial steps. Particularly for all of our EventIQ Scholarship winners, who all have had inspiring teachers and mentors who have helped them reach great success at this first milestone. We can all agree that it is through these every day heroes that we discover greatness in our next generation of leaders. So now that the sweet taste of the summer is upon us, it’s time to reflect on those great and generous individuals who have helped us through the year.

Austin Ericson – Sweat Your Way to Grad – Athletics Scholarship Recipient
Thank you so much for selecting me for the $500 Sweat Your Way to Grad Scholarship! I am extremely honored to have been chosen. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Riley Quance who has been one of my key coaches, an adviser and has provided many references for me during my high school education.

Megan Kaminski – Making Grad Great – Graduation Scholarship Recipient
Finding out that I had been selected for this scholarship was truly an honour.  I was so surprised that I was chosen to receive this scholarship because I felt that someone else would of had more of a contribution with Graduation.  I am thankful that I was able to receive this scholarship because it shows that hard work does pay off and that the reward can help you further your career path.  I would not of been able to accomplish what I did this year with Graduation without the help and guidance from my  teacher Ms. Lefebvre who was there to support me through the whole process.

Dylan Keogh – Acting Out Scholarship – Arts Scholarship Recipient
I’d just like to say that I am incredibly honored that you have chosen me as the recipient of the Acting out Grad scholarship this year!  When I first heard that I had won the scholarship I was both shocked and excited, and so happy that I had been chosen for this award!  I’d really like to thank my art teacher Mr. Danino for recommending me for this scholarship, and for being a huge source of motivation and inspiration throughout my years of high school.  Mr. Danino helped to show me how wonderful and varied the world of art and entertainment could be, and his critique and encouragement have helped me immensely in leading me to improve my artwork and seek out a future in the industry.  He’s done so much for me in my short time in High School, and I cannot thank him enough for his guidance and support.  Thank you so much for choosing me for this award, it will make a huge difference for me next year and in my future pursuit of a career in film!
